Horizon launches new fully automated small-format folder Richard Stuart-Turner Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Horizon has launched a new fully automated small-format 8-buckle folder targeted at simplifying pharmaceutical leaflet and small-format folding production.
The Horizon AF-408F can support highly variable jobs
The 30,000sph Horizon AF-408F builds on the capabilities of the Horizon AF-406F folder. It can be configured inline, parallel or at 90 degrees with a Horizon T-406F/S 6-buckle second station folder to provide a total of 14 buckle plates.
The machine, which is distributed in the UK by Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS), has been designed to respond to market pressures such as demand for shorter and more variable runs, increased labour and material costs, price competition, and difficulty in finding skilled operators.
Emmerson Press streamlines with Horizon spend Richard Stuart-Turner Monday, December 21, 2020
Emmerson Press has invested in a Horizon CRF-362 creaser folder to streamline its digital print production and support increased flexibility.
The Horizon CRF-362 was installed in October
The machine, which was supplied by Intelligent Finishing Systems (IFS), was installed at the Kenilworth-based firm’s site in October.
Jamie Emmerson, director of the B2 commercial printer, said: “We visited Horizon in Germany three years ago to see the Horizon StitchLiner but while we were there the folder creaser caught our eye. We liked its ability to fold inline which saves time.”
