Walkabout Resources bolsters board to help deliver development, production and growth Experienced mining executives Phil Montgomery and Peter Finnimore have been appointed non-executive directors, effective immediately, with the new board structure comprising three independent non-executive directors. The company is also improving corporate governance by separating the role of chairman and CEO. Walkabout Resources Ltd (ASX:WKT) (FRA:N6D) has appointed two new non-executive directors to its board reflecting the completion of debt and companion equity funding for the construction of the Lindi Jumbo Graphite Mine in Tanzania. Senators warn on superannuation 'Sword of Damocles'

Senators warn on superannuation ‘Sword of Damocles’ By Lachlan Maddock 30 April 2021 A number of dissenting senators have warned that they will not support the Your Future, Your Super (YFYS) bill in its current form, warning they hand unprecedented power to politicians. While the Senate economics legislation committee recommended that the bill be passed – acknowledging “the broad in-principle support for the policy intent of the bill” – Labor senators on the committee held a dissenting view and warned that they would not support the bill in its current form.  “This bill as written will not deliver better outcomes for Australian superannuation members,” the senators wrote in their dissenting report.
