Academia Sinica researchers have discovered a way to capture carbon dioxide without using a living organism, offering a more flexible and efficient approach to removing carbon dioxide from the air. The study published on Feb. 23 in the journal Nature Catalysis is the result of seven years of research and development, the national academy announced yesterday. WSU researchers, in partnership with several universities and industries on the West Coast, received a five-year $10 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture grant program to study hemp on the West Coast.  The Global Hemp Innovation Center, led by Oregon State University, is a project funded by the USDA National Institute of Food.
