Ill say more about that later on. Its appropriate, i think, that we begin our series on preserving the constitution by observing Constitution Day, which, as you know, is the 17th of september. This sunday. Commemorating the day when in 1787 the representatives of 12 states signed the original document and then sent to the states for ratification. I believe that my opinion this date, Constitution Day, in terms of the historical antecedence to our country, is second only to the fourth of july. I say that because as we know on independence day, 1776, 56 men signed the declaration of independence and pledged to each other their lives, their fortunes and their sacred
