INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. â One of NASCAR s top drivers honored the victims of the Indianapolis FedEx shootings during Sunday s race with a personal message.
Denny Hamlin, a three-time Daytona 500 champion who drives the No. 11 FedEx Toyota, carried a black ribbon with Indy on his car, along with the hashtag #FedExStrong.
Hamlin led more than 200 laps in Richmond, Virginia, before he finished second. He had some words after the race for the families of those lost in Indianapolis on Thursday.

INDIANAPOLIS (WPTA21) - A gunman killed eight people and wounded several others before taking his own life during an attack overnight at a FedEx facility near the Indianapolis airport.
Police said five others were sent to the hospital with injuries.
This mass shooting joins the list of other recent killings in the U.S.
In the wake of the violence, lawmakers are waking up and sharing their reactions via social media.
Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has ordered flags be lowered to half-staff from now until Tuesday to remember the lives lost.
