VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) As more technological advances are created, Duke Energy Renewables is working to bring the largest solar farm of it s size to the area.
The Sullivan and Vigo County line could be the site of a new 1,500 acre solar farm. Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett believes this new farm will help the county in more ways than one. It has the potential of serving 35,000 homes a year. Just out of this one field. You just look at all the positives, said Mayor Bennett. There really are no negatives so I m excited about it just because of the investment, the construction jobs. There ll be 200 constructions jobs for a period of time. All those things bold well for our community.
