Indian Trail Improvement District again exploring becoming city or town
THE ACREAGE For the second straight year, a special district in western Palm Beach County is exploring the idea of incorporating into what would be Palm Beach County s 40th municipality.
The Indian Trail Improvement District, which covers a 110-square-mile area that includes The Acreage, provides drainage and road service to residents of the district, which has long had a rural, equestrian character.
With nearby development increasing traffic on roads, the district s elected representatives have kick-started a multilayered process that could result in incorporation.
