But on Monday, many hospitals, including Jaipur Golden where 20 people died due to low oxygen pressure, were still having a difficult time with replenishments. Dr D K Baluja, medical director, Jaipur Golden Hospital, said, “We have called our supplier numerous times, but there’s no response. We have gas to last only till 7pm and this after having already seen a tragedy in our hospital.” Baluja claimed the hospital was supposed to receive new stocks, but it was uncertain whether the vendor had sent out the oxygen tanker. “If the vehicle has started out, we don’t know its dispatch number and details,” he said.
