India s pharmaceutical market contracted by 4.5% in June due to a fall in anti-infectives and respiratory drug sales as Covid cases decreased. According to an IQVIA report, the Moving Annual Turnover (MAT) growth for June fell to 10.6% from 11.3% in May. The highest growth therapies were anti-viral, antineoplast/immunomodulator, urology and vaccines. The report also shows a higher growth rate for the chronic segment than the acute segment.
