ICUS 2020 charitable contributions broaden the community benefits of credit unions
NAPERVILLE, IL (January 19, 2021) The Illinois Credit Union System (ICUS) and LSC donated over $165,000 to charitable organizations in 2020 to support credit unions and communities both locally and nationally.
Major contributions included:
$47,000 – Illinois, Heartland, and National Credit Union Foundations
$25,000 – America’s Credit Union Museum
$14,000 – Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions
$15,000 – Filene Research Institute
$7,500 – African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC)
Donations by ICUS and LSC focused on empowering credit unions in their “people helping people” mission, as well as their commitment to supporting diversity and equality. Donations made through ICUS events also contributed to a variety of local charitable organizations that empower women and youths, assist people in crisis, and shelter animals.
