Blessing Hospital expands visitation hours

QUINCY (WGEM) Blessing Hospital in Quincy and Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, Illinois, are expanding their visitation hours.
Blessing Health System Chief Quality and Safety Officer, Dr. Mary Frances Barthel said the hours are now 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Barthel said they will limit visitation between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to give patients quiet time. As we started to see the numbers of patients infected with COVID diminish over the last several weeks and also as more and more of our staff have elected to be vaccinated, we feel a little bit better about opening up at least the visitation hours, Barthel said.
