County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a press release Friday his office added the charge of misconduct in office, a five-year felony, against Dammeon Player and Officer Carlos Taylor for their alleged use of unnecessary force against a truck driver during a Center Line traffic stop.
The incident took place Aug. 29 when deputies Derek Reed and Alan Wier were assigned to bring the 14-year-old boy to the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center for a probation violation.

The incident occurred July 25, 2022 when Mangiapane was at his business near Eight Mile and Schoenherr roads in Warren when the victim, a 37-year-old St. Clair Shores man, walked by on the sidewalk.
