Town look set to be without three senior players when they face Burnley at Portman Road on Saturday. Kelvin Davis is still suffering with his back problem, Darren Bent has been sent to have a scan on the hamstring injury picked up while on England U21 duty, while Fabian Wilnis is suspended.
Rampant Town demolished Burnley 6-1 with a rip-roaring display as they climbed to seventh. A stunning first half saw the Blues go in 5-0 at the break. The second half was always going to be an anti-climax with Shefki Kuqi s sixth the only addition while Burnley s Delroy Facey grabbed a consolation.
Manchester City youngster Ishmael Miller is the latest striker to be linked with a loan move to the Blues. The 18-year-old has impressed in City s reserves this season and is reportedly close to a first team call-up at Eastlands.
Town will be without sent-off full-back Fabian Wilnis when they take on Reading at Portman Road on Tuesday evening (KO 7.45pm). Boss Joe Royle will celebrate his 1,000th game as a manager and may make two other changes to his side with two-goal hero Shefki Kuqi and Ian Westlake likely to return.
