The Covid-19 dry run has begun in various regions across India, including Hyderabad. The mock exercise began on Saturday at the Nampally Area Hospital. A ward in the hospital has been divided into three sections where the vaccine s dry run has been organised.
The authorities in Telangana are hopeful of benefitting about 80 lakh beneficiaries in the first phase which will include the healthcare officials and other frontline workers as well as people above the age of 50 years. While the ones above 50 will be given vaccine shots despite their medical conditions, the ones under 50 will also be given shots if they have other underlying medical conditions.
