Huntington University Arizona announced its first animation graduates: Alexa Bland, Realiti Ibsen and Kesmine Hickman.Â
Bland is a 2013 graduate of Desert Edge High in Goodyear, Ibsen a 2016 graduate of Valley Vista in Surprise.
HU Arizona added animation to its list of degree offerings in May 2017.Â
In the summer of 2018, Christian Washington, a 2013 graduate of HUâs Indiana campus, joined the HU Arizona team as the assistant professor of animation.Â
Of the three animation graduates, Washington was quick to say that âtheyâre very hard workers and passionate artists, which has made them a joy to teach.â
During their time at HU Arizona, the graduates worked on five animated films, including âBubble,â which was featured in the Phoenix Film Festival; âTobeus and Tobey,â which won Best of Fest at the National BEA Conference; and âThe Cactus Cat,â  which was a semifinalist at the Student Los Angeles Film Awards.Â
