The surprise hero of the match, however, was someone who wasn’t even on the Timbers roster a few days ago: Logan Ketterer, the emergency on-loan goalkeeper who saved a penalty kick, denying San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski an equalizer.

Portland Timbers goalkeeper Jeff Attinella will undergo surgery to repair a ruptured right rectus femoris tendon which is a part of your quads and will be out for the season. The surgery will be performed on Monday, May 17 at Oregon Outpatient Surgery Center. The injury occurred during the Timbers’ latest match against the Seattle Sounders on May 9. He is one of three ‘keepers that are now injured on the Timbers, with Steve Clark and Aljaz Ivacic also still out.
