This week has seen a steady flow of new COVID-19 news, including that people who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine but later became ineligible are now being given the choice of what comes next. Also, Iceland has published its new list of high-risk countries, the president received his first vaccine dose, and two new cases were diagnosed domestically yesterday. Þórólfur hopes it will be possible to remove restrictions fairly quickly, starting next week.

People who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine before Iceland decided to restrict its use to certain demographics because of the rare possibility of blood clots are now due their second shot.
