Wayne County Deputies responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident on IL64. 23-year- old Allen Hempensones of Mt. Vernon was traveling along Interstate 64 near mile marker 106 when for unknown reasons he left the roadway, striking a guard rail, and popping a tire. There were no injuries. Wayne County responded to the scene of a car vs. deer collision. 39-year-old Fairfield resident Ryan Sagar was traveling westbound on IL Hwy 15 near Co. Rd 1400E when a deer ran into the roadway. Sagar was unable to avoid the collision causing damage to his vehicle. Local Arrests Illinois State Police arrested 38-year-old Mt. Vernon, IL resident Evan Boucher DeSoto, Mo on a charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail with bond set at $320. 32 year old Ashley Bebout of Crossville, was arrested by Wayne County on a Failure to Appear Contempt of Court warrant out of Richland County.
