A Madison County man was arrested following an eight-hour standoff with authorities, county sheriff s deputies said.
A call came into the 911 center around 7 p.m. Wednesday of reports of a man with a gun threatening to hurt himself and others at 1266 Route 12B in Lebanon, deputies said.
When deputies arrived, they found that Joshua A. Wilcox, 41, was armed and barricaded himself inside the home along with family members, officials said.
Deputies were able to evacuate the family without incident.
During the standoff, Wilcox continued to threaten to hurt himself as negotiators worked to calm him down, officials said.
Around 3 a.m. Thursday, Wilcox allegedly set fire to the residence and then surrendered, deputies said.
