Three attack drones of Houthi rebels were shot down by the American forces near the commercial ships in the Red Sea on Friday (Feb 23), hours after the United States warned of an environmental disaster from the cargo ship, which was hit by Houthi rebels.
The US military said that they downed three attack drones and even destroyed seven anti-ship cruise missiles, which were positioned on land.
As the Iran-aligned Houthi group in Yemen vowed to ramp up its attacks on ships in the Red Sea and other international waters, the US Military on Friday said that it destroyed four Houthi drones and two cruise missiles that were prepared to launch from Yemen.
Some former officials argue the administration has taken too conservative of an approach altogether and needs to focus on targeting Houthi leaders rather than their weapon stocks.
