that playing okay on tv, i guess, but if you re going to bring an advise of counsel defense, that means you waive the attorney-client privilege, you get all sorts of documents, so trump will not make that argument officially. just in a court of public pinp opinion, as we say. the aftereffects are being felt on capitol hill. ahead, i m going to speak to a lawmakers who was among the last to leave the house floor on january 6th, as the rioters tried to bar into the chamber. stay with us. think again. flex any style. with hairspray that flelexes with you. new tresemmémé hairspray. trying vapes to quit smoking might feel like progress, but with 3x more nicotine than a pack of cigarettes - vapes increase cravings -
you can do a county-by-county check here in michigan. 154,000 vote difference. there was a republican state senate investigation that looked at, you know, were there dead people that voted? a whole number of different things that were out there. they might have found two cases, i think, as it turned out. clearly not overturning 154,000 votes and as this document shows, the indictment today, michigan is one of those states where they, in fact, tried to send state electors to cast the electoral votes on january 6th and then counted on the house floor on january 6th. thank goodness they were caught. there was a conspiracy. the thing i have a lot of misgiving about were those on the inside. those in the administration that saw this.
what happened on january 6th had its roots in the west wing and what worries me is that we have members of congress that are covering up for the president or they may be complicit in this. and so, i think it is important for him to come forward and answer questions before the january 6th commission. you know, i want to know you know, i want to know, um, all that he knows. you say you think it s important that he do it. do you think he actually will, though? i mean, there is look, i think go ahead. i think he owes it to the country. i think he owes it to the country. look, anderson, i was the last person off the house floor on january 6th. i assume the chair after speaker m pelosi was whisked away. i saw rioters trying to get at us by smashing the window in the speaker s gallery. so, what happened that day was was terrible. people died. 140 police officers were wounded. staffers democratic and republican staffers were
crowd, are they responsible for that? people use the word fight all the time and they don t mean violent. they don t mean literal fighting, physically fighting. and if we are going to punish people well, then biden said let s go fight covid. what happens if somebody goes and invades the cdc? is he responsible for that? let me ask why did why did your client then in his own words bring weapons on to the house floor on january 6th if he didn t have a reasonable he said that. he said to charlie kirk that. he said what? that he was armed. he s entitled under the second amendment to protect himself at all times. and you may know things in d.c.
violence started. i don t. and that it was ten minutes? i don t. so as you can see there, i was really trying to get representative jordan to clarify whether or not he spoke with president trump in the morning like the white house call records show. and he was not able to confirm that, but he did provide a new detail about how he spoke with trump after he left the house floor on january 6th, which is more specific than he s ever been. but the big picture here is the january 6th committee is building a time line of events from what led up to january 6th and specifically on that day. and this call between trump and jordan is a new detail that we can now add to that time line. and, annie, the content of that call could be consequential when it comes to the january 6th committee s work. thank you so much. cnn legal analyst jennifer rogers is here now to discuss with us all things january 6th.
