Hough didn't take much time to decide on its next head coach. The Huskies brought in coach DeShawn Baker from Cox Mill within a couple of weeks of previous head coach Matthew Jenkins' announcing he was stepping away.
November was a whirlwind for Hough High School junior kicker Nolan Hauser. Within the span of 10 days, Hauser was offered by Clemson University, broke the North Carolina High School Athletic Association record for career field goals made, and committed to the Tigers. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the eighth school to extend a verbal scholarship offer Samari Matthews. The Hough High School freshman standout plays defensive back for the Huskies.
