Cubanidad 1885 always intended to expand to four local locations once it debuted as a “Latin Comfort Food” establishment in Spring Valley in 2019. Now, two years later, the restaurant and its Cuban-inspired menu are finally headed to a second location in Henderson.
Paperwork has been filed for Cubanidad 1885 to move into a large, 2,940-square-foot corner space at the Eastern Commons retail center triple the size of the original Fort Apache Road restaurant.
Formerly occupied by a Pei Wei, the new location at the corner of Eastern Avenue and Horizon Ridge Parkway sits a few doors down from Crumbl Cookies and Bad Owl Coffee.

Coffee and pastries served in a “warm environment with a modern touch” arrived in Seven Hills from Orange, California, focused on creating a new gathering place for locals.
Tru Bru Organic Coffee is now open daily inside a 2,442-square-foot corner space at The Commons at Seven Hills retail center, near the intersection of Horizon Ridge Parkway and Seven Hills Drive.
The open-plan interior offers stools facing the baristas’ workspace, a handful of tables by the large windows, plus a sofa and comfortable chairs surrounding a fireplace.
Pouring 100 percent organic beverages, including a nitro cold brew and matcha imported from Uji, Japan, the evolving casual dining options include avocado toast with organic eggs, a variety of the house special scones, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip muffins, carrot cake, cookies, and gluten-free chocolate banana bread.
