Days after fatal overdoses at a Waikīkī hotel, Honolulu City Council considered a bill to require naloxone at certain establishments that sell alcohol. Bill 28 would be applicable to bars, pubs, nightclubs and other high-risk venues.
Among 100 entries from keiki around Hawaii were received for the Mayor’s Memorial Day Poster Contest and the winners will be recognized at an upcoming ceremony.
Included in the overall package is a one-time $300 property tax credit for qualifying homeowners on Oʻahu. The city estimates it will help nearly 152,000 homeowners, amounting to about $45.5 million.
