PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Two local programs produced on Pittsfield Community Radio, 89.7 WTBR-FM won Hometown Media Awards in a national contest conducted by the Alliance for Community.
Let’s Talk About Race is a production of Grassroot News NW and KBOO Community Radio. The production won three 2022 Hometown Media Awards from the Alliance for Community Media Foundation, ‘Best Podcast’ from the Bright International Film Festival in London, ‘Outstanding Achievement’ from the Swedish International Film Festival, and ‘Honorable Mention’ from the Amsterdam International Film Festival.

WTJU 91.1 FM has won three 2021 Hometown Media Awards from the Alliance for Community Media.
The Hometown Media Awards is established to honor and promote community media, community radio, and local cable tv programs. Each year, nearly one thousand entries are submitted, and approximately 100 awards are presented to the most creative programs that address community needs, develop diverse community involvement, and challenge conventional formats.
