Police & Fire: Woman s jaw broken during domestic assault
ASSAULTS: Battle Creek police have reported the following cases:
• A woman, 49, was taken to Bronson Battle Creek with several injuries including a broken jaw after officers said she was assaulted by her boyfriend of eight years. Police were called to the Hometown Inn at 90 N. Division St. at 4:45 p.m. Monday. Officers said the man was gone and they are seeking a warrant for aggravated assault.
• A woman, 29, and her husband, 39, said they were pepper sprayed while sitting in their car in a parking lot in the first block of Cliff Street at 8:06 p.m. Sunday. The victims said the woman had gone into a store when another car pulled into the lot and there was an exchange of words and gestures between the man and people in the other car. When the woman returned to the car a woman in the other car sprayed both people and left.
