Giants’ Joe Judge bleeping loves Baker Mayfield: ‘He’s an elite competitor… a tough dude’

CLEVELAND, Ohio Giants coach Joe Judge just bleeping loves Baker Mayfield. No, really he does.
He got so fired up describing Baker Mayfield’s fiery style of play Wednesday on a Zoom conference with reporters from both clubs that he dropped an f-bomb to a muted group chuckle and then apologized and asked it to be stricken from the record.
Of course, Mayfield, being the beer-shotgunning dude that he is, loved that Judge did that.
“I’m passionate about the game, so I appreciate that,’ Mayfield said on his Zoom conference. “That’s the kind of stuff I want to bring when you watch tape. You want to be able to feel that. I’ve told you guys I want to be authentic and lead these guys.’

Baltimore 47, Cleveland 42. That was the game of the year last night. And if it’s not the best game we’ll see all year, I wait to see what’s better than that. Because that was incredible.
And yes, I know there’s a prisoner of the moment feel to sports these days. That people talk about whatever happened the night before as if it was the greatest thing ever, while probably knowing that they’ll forget about it a few weeks later.
But that really is a game that’s going to be remembered for a long time.
