Govt, parliament … jumping from frying pan into the fire - ARAB TIMES

Messenger THE parliament and the government are two opposite sides that will never come together or compromise on any matter as long as both sides continue in the same mode of approach. Even if they decide to compromise, it will be a temporary sedative concession. The current parliamentary formation is unprecedented in terms of its political and social components, thanks to the government’s heedlessness of advice, misreading of reality and lack of solutions that would meet a large portion of people’s aspirations and demands; let alone its tendency to appease a small group of the influentials. We are now well aware that the path that the two authorities – executive and legislative – are treading on is full of mines, and both sides are wary of conceding to the other.
