Tent encampments at Emerson College and MIT, occupied mostly by a few hundred students protesting the Israel-Hamas conflict, and continuing well into their second day, were relatively quiet and non-confrontational compared to scenes at other prestigious campuses across the US.
The student demonstrations at Emerson College, MIT and Tufts University, which began Sunday night, come after the arrests of more than 100 students at a similar encampment at Columbia University last week.
