Pulse Asia: 26 percent of Filipinos support presidential bid of Sara Duterte; Isko Moreno is most preferred VP bet

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte (L); Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso (MANILA BULLETIN) The nationwide survey, which was conducted from November 23 to December 2, 2020 using 2,400 respondents, showed that the presidential daughter topped as possible contender for the May 2022 presidential poll. “If the May 2022 presidential election was held during the survey period, around one (1) out of every four (4) Filipino adults (26%) would vote for Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as the country’s new chief executive,” according to Pulse Asia. The survey result found that Duterte got the support of a small majority of Mindanawons with 58 percent, followed by pluralities in the Visayas with 29 percent and Class D with 26 percent.

Teachers wish for better road condition in far-flung Cagayan brgys

Tarlac, Rio Chico Bridge sections of CLLEX completed – DPWH

December 11, 2020 | 7:25 pm Font Size DPWH The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Friday that two major sections of the P14.94-billion Phase 1 of the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) project are now complete. In a statement, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said the two contract packages that were completed are the 4.1-kilometer Tarlac Section and the 6.4-kilometer Rio Chico River Bridge Section of the project. “The completed sections form part of the 30-kilometer, four-lane expressway project to connect and improve access between… Tarlac City and Cabanatuan City,” Mr. Villar added. The department said the two remaining contract packages “will be delivered to full completion by April 2021.”
