The trial of eight men accused of committing high treason and other crimes by attempting to secede the Zambezi region from Namibia 20 years and longer ago is now approaching its end, with a judgement expected to be delivered in the Windhoek High Court in April next year.
The judge to whom the Fishrot fishing quotas fraud, corruption and racketeering case has been assigned wants the matter to proceed to trial in the first week of December.
The Fishrot fishing quotas fraud, corruption and racketeering trial will not be starting as scheduled on 2 October, because seven of the 10 men charged in the matter have not secured their legal representation.
The trial of a Zimbabwean couple accused of killing a nine-year-old girl and dumping her body in a rubbish skip in Windhoek three and a half years ago will not be starting during this year still.
