Now, people of any gender or sexual orientation can get the vaccine if they have had more than one sexual partner or anonymous sexual encounters in the past two weeks.
In a press conference Thursday morning, health district director Elaine Perry said the new shots bolster protection against the original COVID-19 strain, as well as the hyper-transmissible Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants.
