Coyotes!
Several people in and around different parts of Farmington have reported coyote encounters and say to keep pets inside whenever possible. Mating season has made them more aggressive.
Skunks!
It’s also apparently skunk breeding season and the Conservation Commission asks people watch out for skunks crossing roads at night, as they’re an important part of our ecosystem and eat insects among other things.
