BROCKVILLE, ONT. With the sounds of table saws and hammers, the finishing touches are being added to a tiny house destined for a local family in need. The Brockville Employment and Education Centre (EEC) offers the 30-week program called We are the Change , giving 10 vulnerable youths a chance to learn valuable skills in the construction trade. They get exposure to plumbing, electrical, framing, roofing, they get to learn about design, says program co-ordinator Heather Brisebois. There are all different aspects that they get to be a part of from beginning to end. Students begin with in-class learning and then move on to getting certifications like working form heights.
