democrats on what they think could be a very big problem, what is a very big problem on its face, the president of the united states admitting that he made completely inappropriate comments to another foreign leader about a political opponent. that in itself should be a green light for the trump appointed inspector general to be able to give a report or just a complaint rather, just a complaint to congress because that s the way it should go. but what you are hearing is crickets from republicans and i ve even talked to some democrats, anderson, who have, you know, kind of private conversations with some of the potential republicans who would poke their head out of the hole on something like this, and even for them, they are hearing nothing. i m wondering where you are on this. i mean, if and on republicans reaction to it. if president obama had done this and pressed a foreign leader to
information right now. to have been hear the secretary of state say they hope to an understanding and learn more about what he s been charged with. he was detained on the 28th so it s been five days and we re hearing nothing from the state department. we expect to hear something from them soon but the secretary of state himself there doesn t know much detail. we don t know why the russians aren ting them this information. we found out that he was accused of an act of espionage from the russians. we also found out from the russians, not from the united states that he was able to have some consular access today so someone from the u.s. side this afternoon was able to meet with paul whelan. he s 48 years old, the director of global security for an automotive supply company. he was in russia for a wedding. he got there on december 22. when he didn t show up for the
presidential. we haven t seen anybody comparing this to september 11th or the oklahoma city bombing. at least it relates to whatever the president s role here may be. but obviously he is among those who has had some pretty tough rhetoric as it relates to all of these individuals, including the two individuals who received these latest pa esst packages. we don t know anything about the motivation of this mail bomber. we do know within last week the president did go after cory book booker, the senator, democrat, from new jersey, saying among other things he was a horrible mayor. saying if he became president, as he s likely or suspected he might run in 2020, the president said booker would run the country the hell into the ground, to use his language. he s been critical of james clapper in the past. grouping him together with john brennan, the former cia director and the former president, barack obama, as well. but just the latest from here at the white house is so far we re hearing noth

benefit of the doubt with that, but still, this was handled very poorly from the beginning. that audio of the children crying that amanda mentioned that came out in mid-june, it galvanized the country and said oh, my gosh, this is great. wouldn t that have been or even before the time for her to speak out? i m wondering if everyone is what do you think of this sort of profile and courage or is it not i mean, she wants total sympathy and no responsibility and no accountability. and that s what she s wanted from the beginning. i got to say i m a little offended when she s talking about how emotional it was for her, how much it disappointed her, et cetera. we heard nothing from her privileged vantage point about how this came to be. about why this happened in the first place. about why it went on as long as it did. about what they re doing to remedy it. no, we re hearing nothing of that. and she s supposedly a close
