Tonight is being broadcast live on the network through wyoming Public Radio Network and her social media platform and on cspan. We will be asking questions of the candidates this evening of what we hope will be a thoughtful and civil exchange. A quick note we are utilizing social distancing practices this evening and no Live Audience tonight. Was candidates for the open senate seat are with us and with the assistance from the wyoming league of women voters conducted a on conducted a random draw the candidates have been briefed on the ground rules for tonights debate and in addition to questions from us midway through the debate we will have a segment where the candidates unscripted have issues amongst themselves they should be noted those questions and wyoming viewers also developed spherically want to get right to the debate and then questions will follow if the candidates are ready
I live in this neighborhood for about two years now and im used to the sound of the elevator train and up the streets the cars that are around. And where the kids play. Some people might think its colorful, you know . But when you live here you call it something else, because it doesnt look good or smell good or feel good. Especially not when youre sick. Not when your body hurts. And you want to make it well. It took a while, but weve got a good answer to sickness in this part of new york. Its part of a new idea thats going on in other cities too. You know . All over the country. Here in the bronx, we call it the Montefiore Health center where people from my neighborhood can come and have their sickness treated and their hurt made well. You are entering a new world of health care. It draws upon the same science and uses the same instruments and equipment that helped services traditionally do, but in the philosophy its different in startling and significant ways. Today, according to the National Association of community Health Centers, they serve 29 Million People in more than 12,000 communities nationwide. He passed away just a few days ago having served his country in the armed forces and in the congress, and so we do mourn his passing and it would be not in keeping with our traditions to from seed witho proceed without giving our condolences to his family and for those who sent him to congress to represent them. John conyers was a true champion for civil rights for the oppressed and disenfranchised. Prior to the service in congress, he was in the Civil Rights Movement and was in selma, alabama, in 1963.
