83 Covid-19 Clusters Come From The Education Sector Alone, Says MOH

From the period of 1 January 2021 until 20 April 2021, a total of 83 Covid-19 clusters with a total of 4,868 cases have been detected involving the Education Sector, according to the Health Ministry. In a statement released online, Health Minister Datuk Dr Adham Baba said that out of 83 clusters – 49 were still active with 2,617 cases while 34 clusters with 2,251 cases has ended. He also said that 39 clusters with 1,420 cases involve the sub-category of Schools/Institutions of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE). Meanwhile, 19 clusters with 1,870 cases were identified the sub-category of Higher Education and 25 clusters with 1,578 cases related to the Other Education sub-category.
