It affects a great many americans. According to a 2013 report from the National Survey of drug use and health, one in five adult over the age of 26 years old reported suffering from Mental Illness. In the same timeframe one in 10 americans between the ages of 12 and 17 years old reported having at least one major depressive episode. In tennessee, about one in five adults reported having a Mental Illness in 2013. That is more than a million tennesseans according to the Ten
