PLANS have been submitted to turn the site of a disused water pumping station in the hills above Dumbarton into a holiday lodge development. The application is being proposed for land currently occupied by a former water pumping station near Maryland farm at the top of Garshake Road. If approved by West Dunbartonshire Council, the development would see a mix of two and three-bedded units constructed in a clustered group with a small garden area to the side. The lodges will all be similar in style and appearance - single-story, timber-clad and stained with heavy-duty felt roofs. The plans also include a car park for up six vehicles in front and to the side of the building.
