Amazon continues acquisitive streak in the Midlands

Amazon is thought to have secured two new warehouses in the Midlands totalling more than 1 million ft2. The online retail giant has been linked with two properties at Magna Park Lutterworth one, which it will occupy direct and the other it will use via a 3PL. It is thought to have secured BentallGreenOak’s recently refurbished MP411 unit on Hawkes Road, which boasts a 15m eaves height, 26 Dock and three level access doors as well as a 67m yard, 231 Car and 74 HGV Parking Spaces. It will let this unit directly. The other unit it will use – via a contract with 3PL XPO –  is believed to be GLP’s 746,478 ft2 speculative cross-dock warehouse on Magna Park South. It was one of four units to be speculatively developed last year on the site – all of which are now let or under offer.
