1 The Westwood DPW will hold a Recycling Day on May 8 from 8 a.m.-noon at 50 Carby St. Accepted items, which are not allowed in your recycling cart, include TVs, computers, peripherals, appliances, tires, clean clothing and textiles, books, media, scrap metal and large plastic items. Some items are taken at no charge, others have a fee (cash or check only). Open to Westwood residents only.
2 Household Hazardous Waste and Recycling Day: May 8, 8-11 a.m., Recycling Facility, 370 Winter St., Norwood. $5 per carload; no leaf or brush disposal. Accepted materials include drain cleaners, rust removers and oil-based paints; other items, such as TVs, will be collected for a fee.
