Local News - Easter food baskets available
Press release The Salvation Army and The Havre Community Food Bank are offering an Easter food basket to low income/needy people in the Havre area. People can call 265-6411 to sign up or come to 328 Third St. during office hours, Monday-Tuesday 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1–2:30 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. People are asked to have available for upload or to bring to the office a picture ID of the person applying; Social Security cards for every family member in the home; proof of residence such as a power bill with physical address listed, and proof of income.

Ever-present in the lives of people in Montana, the country, and around the world is the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected nearly every aspect of life including the holiday season, which has seen local events cancelled or changed for the sake of public safety. Some events adapted to meet safety restrictions and still had success, with some still to come.
Food Box Giveaway Signups open
Havre Daily News staff Havre Community Food Bank is inviting Hill County residents to sign up for its Christmas Food Box Giveaway. Recipients will make appointments to pick up the boxes Monday, Dec. 21. Pickups will be by appointment only. To register, people can call Alma at 265-6743 ext. 1125..
