At last month’s Envisioning the Future of Buildings workshop, participants shared their thoughts on Covestro’s latest research Will buildings in 2030 be designed for flying cars? Will robots construct our homes? Will we be living on floating platforms? These were some of the questions considered by architects who took part in the AJ Summit online workshop, Envisioning the Future of Buildings, on 11 March. The event, hosted by polymer manufacturer  Covestro, was the first it has staged in the UK as part of a project it launched eight months ago with German university students and its own construction experts to identify future building trends. It was also the first research workshop held with architecture professionals by the company, which is now expanding its study into France and the UK.
