After months of COVID-19 isolation away from family and friends, seniors residents of long-term care homes such as Hastings Manor in Belleville will soon be able renew social connections.
Lots of hugs are expected to be going around in the days to come between immunized residents and loved ones separated for what has seemed an eternity under strict COVID-19 pandemic measures by the Ontario government.

The province announced Thursday a set of new measures that will allow residents to hug someone who is immunized, take day or overnight trips away from their LTC home and accept visitors in the home if mobility is an issue for the resident.
