we see more than 16 inches of rain near victoria, texas. only the center of harvey is about 25 miles southwest of victoria. so they re still going to get all this had heavy rain in the core, even as harvey lengthens, it s gradually raining down but the flooding threat is only going to accuracy agency we go through the next several days. we re expecting very, very heavy rain, widespread amounts of 25 to 35 inches of rain, including areas like the houston/galveston area. we could see isolated areas, totals of 40 inches. that is a rainfall threat. that is how it s been described as catastrophic flooding over the next few days.
