The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality announced Wednesday it has awarded the city of Harrison a $771,262 low-interest drinking water construction loan.
The funding will be used to investigate and develop the Stonegate well, undergo leak detection, make necessary reservoir repairs and replace meters.
At the Harrison City Council meeting on Thursday, June 22, the council members voted to keep the Crestview Avenue barricade in place. The barricade currently blocks traffic from traveling through a residential neighborhood behind the Meadow Park Plaza and Dollar Tree. The former Mayor of Harrison, Jeff Crockett, had agreed in 2000 to have the barricades installed after residents asked for them.
