Waukegan and North Chicago voters will chose Democratic nominees for the April 4 general election Tuesday at their local polling places, with five of them determining the aldermen in what will be uncontested April contests.
Independent candidates in Waukegan and North Chicago, contenders for offices in other municipalities in Lake County as well as people running for other public positions like school boards, park boards, library boards and other positions can begin filing petitions Dec. 12 and have until 5 p.m. Dec. 19 to file in the appropriate place.
