A 66-YEAR-OLD woman and a teenager have appeared before a special sitting of Dungannon Magistrates Court in relation to an alleged long-running cross-border identity fraud totalling almost £240,000.
Annie Maughan of Harmony Heights, Cavan and the youth (17) who cannot be identified due to her age are charged with fraud by false representation and going equipped for theft.
The charges against Maughan are alleged to have occurred between January 2014 until her arrest on 1 April.
In respect of the youth, the allegations relate only to 1 April.
A detective constable told the court she could connect both accused to their respect charges.

A plan by Ascendigo Autism Services to develop 126 acres in eastern Missouri Heights near El Jebel for a summer camp and year-round activities center for autistic children is now before Garfield County planning officials for review.
Before the plan was even submitted in late January by the Carbondale-based nonprofit organization, though, a group of nearby residents organized in opposition to the plans.
Among their chief concerns is that they view the development as a business operation in a rural, residential area that would generate excess traffic, impact the local water supply and potentially create a wildfire hazard.

In honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, several groups around the Treasure Coast and South Florida will spend the day performing acts of service.
A diverse group of local organizations are standing together for a powerful day of unity in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. s vision of equality. More than 50 volunteers will join the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach Atlantic University in a day-long outreach event.
Together, they will pack toiletry kits for the homeless, lunches of love for St. Ann Place and St. George Place and school supplies. Volunteers will also make cards for first responders and military members who are deployed.
