Teen seriously injured after being stabbed at wake for crash victim

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after being stabbed in Chorlton.
Police were called to Barlow Moor Road - close to the junction with Mauldeth Road West and Hardy Lane - just before 7pm on Wednesday.
The victim has been taken to hospital.
Police say there was a large gathering of youths in the area around the time of the attack.

Manchester Evening News that around 100 people, mainly youths, had gathered close to the Co-op for a wake to a teenager killed in a car crash.
