Summer is in full swing at the new Hingham Recreation camps, where kids are splashing in the water at Hingham Harbor, playing field games at Cronin Field and will soon explore local state parks.
Hingham Recreation introduced two new summer programs this year, including the weekly Adventure Club for fourth and fifth graders, which began at the end of June and is a combination of the traditional Fun Time camp and field trips, and the Parkland program, which will begin later this month, allowing kids to explore Hingham’s green spaces.
Hingham Recreation Program Supervisor Jackie Muh, who oversees the Adventure Club, said the camp is a hybrid of typical camp activities like arts and crafts and field games along with field trips on Fridays.
